It was a beautiful day on Sunday and the Hart team was out in force to show its support for The Friendship Circle’s 2012 Friendship Walk. The walk began at Vaucluse Public School and followed a leisurely 2km course. There was a great atmosphere, with food and entertainment both before and after the walk.
Prior to the beginning of the walk, the Member for Wentworth, the Hon Malcolm Turnbull MP spoke and welcomed the large turnout. The Friendship Circle’s Sender Kafka also spoke, and said that the walk had already raised over $40,000. Ambassadors of the Friendship Circle, Olympian Steve Solomon, and Emma Louise Birdsall from The Voice, were there to show their support.
The Friendship Circle is an unique organisation that matches Sydney teenagers with children with special needs in a big brother/sister relationship. It provides much needed support to children with special needs and their families.
